Recent Correspondence
Section 44021 of the Health and Safety Code charges the Inspection and Maintenance Review Committee (Committee) with the responsibility to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the Smog Check Program (Program) and make recommendations on improvements for the Program to the Administration and the Legislature. These analyses and recommendations are included in periodic reports that are prepared by the Committee and submitted to the Administration and the Legislature. In an effort to keep interested parties apprised of the Committee's activities, information related to the performance of its duties will be posted below.
